ITINERARY - 10 DAYS  
   

Day 01

AIRPORT / SIGIRIYA / MINNERIYA / HABARANA OR SIGIRIYA
AM Arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport . Welcome and assistance upon arrival and escort to the vehicle. Transfer to Habarana or Sigiriya and visit the Rock Fortress. Sigiriya - a massive rock fortress rising 183 meters above the surrounding green scrub jungle, just declared a world heritage site, is perhaps the most memorable place for visitors to Sri Lanka. The site was built under the orders of the paranoid king Kasyapa. The well-planned complex included caved temples, bathing pools, lovely ponds and Asia 's oldest surviving landscaped gardens. Today Sigiriya is famous for its frescoes painted in the pocket of the rock. The "Lion Stairway", the "Mirror Wall" and the " Water Gardens " are its other highlights. Climb to the summit of the rock to view the ruins of the monastic complex.  PM Visit a National Park by jeep.Proceed to Habarana or Sigiriya and check in at the hotel for Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 02

HABARANA OR SIGIRIYA
AM After breakfast, proceed to the ground for the first match. PM Lunch served at the ground. After the match return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay

Day 03

HABARANA OR SIGIRIYA / DAMBULLA / MATALE / KANDY
AM After breakfast, checkout from the hotel and proceed to visit the Rock Caved Golden Temple . The caves of the Golden Temple , having a history since 03rd Century BC and belonging to Malwatte Chapter, is recorded to have given shelter and protection to KING WALAGAMBA , who was defeated by the CHOLAS during war. This location, formerly know as JAMBUKOLA PATTANA , was found by King Walagamba, under the guidance of a farmer. He has been given a small cave by the Buddhist priests, and he has taken refuge at the temple for twelve years as a priest. After gaining much war strength within these twelve years, King Walagamba marched strongly through the enemy forces to Anuradhapura with his army and regained complete control over the city from the Chola rule. As means of appreciation of the refuge given to him, King Walagamba ordered the construction of the temple, in a grand scale. Of the five main caves, three caves by the names of DEVARAJA LENA, MAHARAJA LENA & RAJA LENA respectively, have been given prominence. Proceed to Matale, and visit a spice garden and a batik factory. PM Proceed to Kandy. Check in at the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 04

KANDY
AM After breakfast, proceed to the ground for the second match.PM Lunch served at the ground. After the match return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 05

KANDY / PINNAWELA / KANDY
AM After breakfast, visit the elephant orphanage at Pinnawela. It is an orphanage for baby elephants set up by the Department of National Zoological Gardens. The Orphanage was established to feed, nurse, and house young elephants found abandoned by their mothers. Other inmates are those found displaced from their natural environs by development projects or those found wounded. Watch the afternoon feeding of the baby elephants, followed by the daily bath at the river near by. See the darling baby elephants getting a scrub behind the ears as they play with each other in the river.PM Return to Kandy and visit the city of Kandy . Kandy , nominated by the UNESCO as a world heritage city, is of fascinating variety in climate and landscape, and rich cultural heritage attracted travelers from all over the world for many centuries. Nestling midst low hills, and looped by Sri Lanka 's longest river, the Mahaweli, Kandy is still the home of the arts and crafts, music, dance and song which flourished during the reign of the king - their patron. This beautiful city, with its hills and valleys, rivers, lakes and cascading waterfalls around the hills, has its share of hallowed and living shrines, of the Buddhists, Hindus, Christians and the Muslims in the city and around. But to Buddhists, Kandy is an utmost sacred town. Visit the temple of the tooth relic of Lord Buddha. View a cultural show featuring traditional Kandyan dance performances. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 06

KANDY / NUWARA ELIYA / COLOMBO
AM After breakfast, checkout from the hotel and proceed to visit Nuwara Eliya. Nuwara Eliya is considered as the Little English Town amidst the hills, most probable reasons being the cool climate, as well as the buildings which very prominently reflect the English architecture. The hills are covered with our primary export - Tea. Sri Lankan tea is known all over the world for its high quality and supreme taste. Visit a tea factory and a plantation en route, and observe the process of turning the soft green tea leaf in the fine brown dust. PM Proceed to Colombo . Check in at the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 07

COLOMBO
AM After breakfast, proceed to the ground for the third match. PM Lunch served at the ground. After the match return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 08

COLOMBO
AM After breakfast, proceed to the ground for the fourth match. PM Lunch served at the ground. After the match return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 09

COLOMBO
AM Breakfast at the hotel. Morning at leisure. PM Cocktail at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10

COLOMBO / AIRPORT
AM After breakfast, checkout from the hotel and proceed to the airport in time for departure.
